Didier Koumavi Ekouevi is a medical epidemiologist dedicated to studying HIV infection and its prevention in sub-Saharan Africa. He serves as the Head of the Public Health Department and Director of the Centre de Formation et de Recherche en Santé Publique at the University of Lomé, Togo. Additionally, he holds the position of senior researcher at the INSERM U1219 research center at the University of Bordeaux.
With over 25 years of experience in HIV epidemiology and global health research, Prof. Ekouevi's work focuses on addressing the public health challenges of HIV prevention and care. His research interests particularly revolve around the prognosis of antiretroviral-treated adults and children, as well as HIV infection in key populations in West Africa.
