Integrated Vector Control for Zero Malaria: Combining New Tools, Evidence and Community Action for Elimination
Effective vector control remains one of the most important strategies in the fight against malaria. As countries work toward malaria elimination, there is an increasing need for integrated approaches that combine innovative vector control tools, evidence-based interventions, and strong community engagement to reduce transmission and sustain progress. Strengthening collaboration between public health systems, researchers, and communities is essential for achieving zero malaria goals.
Join us for another insightful session in the ALAMIME Alumni Webinar Series as we explore the role of integrated vector control in accelerating malaria elimination efforts. This webinar will examine how new technologies, scientific evidence, and community-driven actions can be combined to strengthen malaria prevention and response strategies across different settings.
Participants will gain valuable insights into emerging vector control interventions, integrated vector management approaches, insecticide resistance monitoring, indoor residual spraying (IRS), larval source management, and the importance of community participation in sustaining malaria control programs. The session will also highlight practical experiences, lessons learned, and best practices for implementing coordinated vector control strategies that support national malaria elimination targets.
This discussion will be particularly beneficial for entomologists, malaria control program officers, vector control specialists, public health practitioners, researchers, policymakers, community health professionals, and development partners working to strengthen malaria prevention and elimination efforts.
