Data-Driven Malaria Control: Applying Routine Health Information for Targeted Interventions in Butiama District, Mara Region, Tanzania

The use of routine health information is critical for strengthening malaria control efforts, particularly at sub-national levels where data-driven decisions can significantly improve program outcomes. However, challenges remain in effectively utilizing available data to guide targeted interventions, allocate resources efficiently, and respond to local malaria trends.

Join us for an insightful session in the ALAMIME Alumni Webinar Series as we explore how routine health information can be leveraged to drive targeted malaria interventions. Drawing on practical experience from Butiama District in Mara Region, Tanzania, this webinar will highlight how data can be used to identify priority areas, monitor program performance, and inform timely and context-specific responses.

The session will also examine strategies for improving data quality, strengthening data use at the district level, and fostering a culture of evidence-based decision-making within malaria programs. Participants will gain practical insights into how health systems can better harness routine data to enhance planning, implementation, and evaluation of malaria control activities.

This webinar will be particularly valuable for malaria program managers, monitoring and evaluation specialists, public health practitioners, researchers, and policymakers interested in advancing data-driven approaches to malaria control.
