Environmental Measures in the Prevention and Eradication of Malaria
Environmental management remains one of the most sustainable and cost-effective approaches to preventing and ultimately eradicating malaria. By addressing the environmental conditions that support mosquito breeding, communities can significantly reduce malaria transmission while complementing other interventions such as insecticide-treated nets, indoor residual spraying, prompt diagnosis, and effective treatment. From improved sanitation and waste management to proper drainage systems and community-led environmental action, environmental measures continue to play a critical role in achieving a malaria-free future.
Join us for another insightful session in the ALAMIME Alumni Webinar Series as we explore the role of environmental measures in the prevention and eradication of malaria. This webinar will examine practical, evidence-based environmental strategies that reduce mosquito breeding sites, strengthen community participation, and support integrated malaria control efforts.
