About The Event

Leveraging Malaria Routine Data Quality Audits (MRDQA) to Strengthen Surveillance Systems

High-quality routine malaria data is essential for effective surveillance, timely decision-making, and successful malaria control and elimination efforts. Reliable data enables health systems to monitor disease trends, allocate resources efficiently, identify gaps in service delivery, and respond rapidly to outbreaks. However, challenges related to data completeness, accuracy, consistency, and reporting continue to affect the performance of malaria surveillance systems in many settings.

Join us for an insightful session in the ALAMIME Alumni Webinar Series as we explore the role of Malaria Routine Data Quality Audits (MRDQA) in strengthening surveillance systems and improving program performance. This webinar will examine practical approaches to enhancing routine malaria data quality and promoting the use of accurate data for evidence-based planning and decision-making.

Participants will gain valuable insights into the implementation of routine data quality audits, including methods for identifying reporting gaps, improving data verification processes, strengthening monitoring and evaluation systems, and fostering accountability across different levels of the health system. The session will also discuss common challenges faced during MRDQA implementation and share lessons learned and best practices for sustaining high-quality malaria surveillance systems.

This discussion will be particularly beneficial for malaria surveillance officers, monitoring and evaluation specialists, public health practitioners, researchers, policymakers, and development partners working to strengthen health information systems and accelerate malaria elimination efforts.
