About The Event
Improving Malaria Data Reporting Systems in Abia State’s Private Health Facilities
Accurate and timely malaria data reporting is essential for effective disease surveillance, evidence-based decision-making, resource allocation, and the overall success of malaria control and elimination efforts. Private health facilities play a significant role in healthcare service delivery and often manage a substantial proportion of malaria cases. Strengthening reporting systems within the private health sector is therefore critical to ensuring complete, reliable, and actionable malaria data for national malaria programs.
Join us for another engaging session in the ALAMIME Alumni Webinar Series as we explore strategies for improving malaria data reporting systems in private health facilities across Abia State, Nigeria. This webinar will examine current challenges affecting data capture, reporting, and utilization within the private healthcare sector, while highlighting practical approaches to enhancing reporting compliance and data quality.
Participants will gain valuable insights into strengthening routine malaria surveillance systems, improving data management practices, enhancing collaboration between private health facilities and public health authorities, addressing reporting gaps, and leveraging data for informed malaria control interventions. The session will also provide lessons learned and recommendations for improving private sector participation in malaria surveillance and health information systems.
This discussion will be particularly beneficial for malaria program managers, monitoring and evaluation officers, health information officers, healthcare providers, researchers, policymakers, public health practitioners, and partners supporting malaria control and health systems strengthening initiatives.
