About The Event
Going Beyond Numbers Trained: What Changed at Workplaces of Managers Trained in Leadership and Management under the ALAMIME Program?
Training is often measured by the number of people reached, courses completed, or certificates awarded. But what happens after the training? How does leadership and management training translate into changes in the workplace, stronger teams, improved ways of working, and greater impact in malaria programmes?
Join us for the first-ever ALAMIME Alumni Testimonies, a special edition of the ALAMIME Alumni Series bringing together alumni from across Uganda and Nigeria to share their experiences, stories, achievements, and the impact of their ALAMIME journey.
This unique session will go beyond the numbers trained to hear directly from ALAMIME alumni about what changed after their training. The alumni will reflect on how the knowledge, skills, networks, and leadership approaches gained through ALAMIME have influenced their work, their teams, and the organisations and programmes they contribute to.
The session will feature testimonies from Moses Kawooya and Naome Turyahabwe from Makerere University, Uganda; Abanyil Liambee Joseph from Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria, Nigeria; and Rabilu Sani Bunza from the University of Ibadan, Nigeria. Through their personal experiences, the session will explore the real-world value of investing in leadership and management capacity beyond the classroom.
More than a celebration of alumni achievements, this gathering will provide an opportunity to reflect on what training makes possible after the training ends. It will highlight personal journeys, workplace experiences, lessons learned, and examples of how ALAMIME alumni have applied their learning in their professional environments.
Be part of this historic first ALAMIME Alumni Testimonies and hear directly from the people who experienced the journey.
