Christine Awor currently serves as a Communications Officer for ALAMIME, an award-winning multimedia journalist, podcaster, and communications professional. She holds a degree in Journalism and Communication from Makerere University and is currently pursuing a Master’s Degree in Strategic and Corporate Communication at the same institution.
With a wealth of experience, Awor has held diverse roles in various organizations. She began her career as a field journalist for the Covid-19 Stories of Hope Project at the Aga Khan Graduate School of Media Studies. Subsequently, she contributed as a Communications Officer at the Silk Project and later assumed the role of Director of Innovation and Digital Growth at The Northern Daily News (TND).
Passionate about solutions-oriented and collaborative journalism, Awor has led initiatives collaborating with journalists and communicators across East Africa to produce impactful data-driven stories. Her previous roles also include serving as a news anchor and reporter at 94.3QFM and as a medical claims clerk at Jubilee Health Insurance Company of Uganda.
Currently, Awor brings her wealth of experience and passion for communication to her role as a Communications Officer for the ALAMIME Program.
